We first came to hear of Juliane when our son was in his second year Kindergarten and was experiencing frequent frustrations and meltdowns. He was bored and frustrated with the activities offered and showed a very early interest in math, astronomy and the natural sciences.
Based on her experience with gifted children, Juliane was able to recognize the need for enrichment and tailor a mentoring program for our son’s specific needs. Juliane has a plethora of equipment, books, worksheets and materials in her atelier and brings an incredible amount of variety to the lessons. Over the last 4 years our son has built robots, solar powered butterflies, explored chemistry, studied the history of Native American Indians, Vikings and explorers, Marine Biology, to name a few. One of the favourite activities are the in-field and nature experiences, for example following the life cycle of a frog and forest explorations.
I have noticed a huge difference in our son, who has grown into a happy and balanced child. Juliane has a wonderful way of engaging and teaching, always patient and compassionate. He very much looks forward to his mentoring lessons at Juliane’s atelier and sings and hums while he is working. Even though he sometimes still gets bored in his regular classes, the weekly mentoring has provided the ideal supplemental enrichment, allowing him to feel the expansion and intellectual stimulation he so very much needs to grow up into a balanced and self-confident individual.
I highly recommend having your child work with Juliane if your child needs extra support or enrichment. Juliane has enormous expertise in Gifted Education and years of personal experience with mentoring children. She is a wonderful support for parents too, providing further learning recommendations and school consultation.

Juliane Walker was truly our son’s Fairy Godmother! Towards the end of primary school, our son stopped participating and got restless and unhappy. The school wanted to test him to address the issues. The results earned him attention as well as some freedom to take time off school to participate in programs for the gifted. The gaps in basic knowledge due to his previous behavior were, however, not addressed. Until, thankfully, Juliane came to us. With endless patience and empathy she built up his self-confidence, evaluated and identified his deficiencies, pushed his highs and supported his lows. Juliane is not only a fabulous teacher across the board (perfect in English and German), she can read a child’s fears, insecurities, needs and struggles, and addresses it all with an abundance of empathy and care to unfold the full potential.
